If you’ve found yourself here, you might be interested in getting to know me. If so, keep reading.

I first knew that I had to become a pastor one night when I was in college after praying a prayer and swearing at God. I was incredibly angry at God and talked to my pastor about it. She listened to my pain, prayed with me, and we swore at God as we prayed. In all of my time growing up in the church, I had never experienced something like that moment.

That prayer changed my life.

I learned that faith was about being totally vulnerable with God and being honest about my feelings, even if they included an f-bomb. That night my pastor taught me that God is not afraid of my emotions and that God will always show up.

From that moment, I knew I wanted to be able to do that for others.

I’ve discovered the immense joy of faith and belief in a God who deeply wants to know us and be known in return.

My passion is to share my authentic and curious faith in my ministry.

I’m an ordained Pastor in the Presbyterian Church USA.
I’ve served many roles in the church including bathroom mopper and Easter bunny.

Hands down, my greatest delight in ministry has been discovering my love of Interfaith dialogue, my relentless pull towards justice, and my curiosity of what Jesus’ Instagram would be like. I’m deeply interested in how churches are quickly changing in response to our world and I’m committed to look for God’s endless creativity.

I serve as the Pastor for Mission and Spiritual Formation at Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church. The Bay Area is my home and I am so glad to be back near where I went to college at UC Berkeley, before I studied at Princeton Theological Seminary. I’m also excited about continuing learning about what God might be calling the church to next, while studying for my Doctorate of Ministry at Duke.

You should also know that I love funny videos of Golden Retrievers, making zoodles, playing volleyball, and making up my own words to popular songs.
